Astrophysics

The Astrophysics Master’s program at the University of Wroclaw is a two-year, research-oriented course taught entirely in English. It offers two specialized tracks: an astronomy-oriented track focusing on observational astronomy and celestial mechanics, and a physics-oriented track emphasizing cosmology, gravitation, and astrophysical modeling. The curriculum combines mandatory core courses with a range of electives, providing foundational knowledge in astrophysics, computational simulations, and data analysis. Students gain hands-on experience in observational and theoretical methods, working closely with international faculty on topics such as black holes, gravitational waves, heliophysics, and astroparticle physics. The program prepares graduates for advanced research and diverse career opportunities in academia, technology, and industry, and provides a strong foundation for PhD studies[1][2][5].
