Tuition Fees in Belgium for 2026-27 and 2027-28
2026-27 means the school year from September 2026 to summer 2027. Students from outside the EEA (the EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) pay a higher fee. Students from India and Pakistan are from outside the EEA. Each university sets its own amount.

How Fees Work in Belgium
Belgium has three language communities, and each sets its own fee rules. Inside them, each university sets the fee for students from outside the EEA.
60 credits = one year
KU Leuven (a university in the city of Leuven), Ghent University (UGent), University of Antwerp (UAntwerpen) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Fees are a fixed fee plus a price for each credit.
Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and Université de Liège (ULiège) follow the rules of the government of French-speaking Belgium. You pay one main fee, plus an extra fee for most students from outside the EU.
Always check your own program's fee page for the year you start. Fees change every year.

Most students from India and Pakistan come for a master's. Bachelor's programs at Flemish universities are mostly taught in Dutch.

- VUB Bachelor in Social Sciences: EUR 5,320 a year (EUR 2,200 plus EUR 52 a credit).
- All UGent bachelor's are taught in Dutch, except one run with VUB.
