Citizens of India and Pakistan must register their passport within 7 days of arriving in Egypt. This is your first official step after you land.

What Passport Registration Is

Egypt asks students from some countries, including India and Pakistan, to report their passport to the passports and immigration office soon after they arrive. This is called passport registration. It is separate from the student residence permit, the card that lets you stay in Egypt for a year.
