You can list up to six universities. Apply by 15 January 2027.

A free place from the Russian Government pays your tuition, a preparatory year (a year to learn Russian first) and a monthly scholarship.

Medicine in English

Students from India must follow NMC rules: pass NEET, study the whole course in English, and do the 12-month internship at the university where you study.

Sechenov University and Kazan Federal University teach General Medicine in English, over 6 years.

Work rights

No separate work permit is needed for these students.

Full-time students in courses the Russian state officially approves may work in their free time.

Things to plan for

Plan how your family will send money. Pakistani students: HSE University has stopped, for now, sending the visa invitation (the letter your university gets for you so you can apply for the visa) to people from Pakistan. Ask your university before you apply.

Foreign bank cards do not work in Russia.
