Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Missing the closing date
The University of Cape Town (UCT) does not read applications that come in after the closing date.
Forgetting the exemption certificate
For a first degree (a bachelor's), your Class 12 (India) or Intermediate / HSSC (Pakistan) papers need an exemption certificate. The Matriculation Board gives it.
Old stamped copies
Copies must be stamped as true by an official. For master's and PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), the stamp must be less than 3 months old.
