Application Tips

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Even qualified applicants can face rejection due to application errors. Be aware of these common mistakes to increase your chances.

Missing the course deadline

Each department sets its own date. At the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), late files may not get a decision in time.

Using a test the university does not accept

Northeastern's Khoury College (its computer science college) does not accept Duolingo scores.

Self-made translations

At Arizona State University (ASU), students may not translate their own papers.

False papers

At UT Dallas, false or changed papers can cancel your offer.
