Spring 2027

University of Cyprus (UCY) master's applications for Spring 2027 close on 31 October 2026. Frederick University takes non-EU applications (from outside the European Union) until late November.

Most universities in Cyprus have a Fall and a Spring start (also called an intake). Some also run a summer session.

Non-EU students should apply early for the entry permit.

  • UCY master's start in January.
  • UNIC, European University Cyprus (EUC) and Frederick University start in February.

Application Period

For Spring 2027: UCY master's until 31 October 2026. UNIC: until 6 November 2026. Frederick (non-EU): until late November. EUC: until mid-January.

Fewer programmes start in Spring.

Your university applies for you after you accept.

  • • Get apostille stamps on your papers.
  • • Get your police certificate and medical tests. You take the medical tests again after you arrive.

Arrive

Land at Larnaca or Paphos and start your residence permit papers.

  • • Hand in your residence permit papers within 7 days.

The Academic Year

Cyprus universities use semesters and European study credits (ECTS). A full year is 60 ECTS.
