Nanyang Technological University (NTU) bachelor's applications for Indian Class 12 (NTU calls this India Standard 12) run from 15 October 2026 to 19 March 2027.

An intake is a time when a course starts. August is the main intake. Some master's programmes also start at other times.

The Student's Pass is your permit to study in Singapore. Apply for it 2 to 3 months before your course starts, after you get your offer.

Accept your offer

NTU's acceptance periods: 4 January to 24 May 2027, and 1 to 16 June 2027. Accept by the date in your own offer.

By end July 2027

NTU decision

NTU expects to give Indian Class 12 decisions by the end of July 2027.

2 to 3 months before your course starts

Apply for your Student's Pass

After the university registers you in SOLAR (Student's Pass Online Application and Registration, the online Student's Pass system).

No earlier than 1 month before your course starts

Arrive

Then finish the last steps (fingerprints, photo and fee) in person.

Academic Structure

The Academic Year

Universities run on semesters, and some master's programmes on trimesters.

Semesters

There are two semesters a year (a semester is half of the school year). NUS charges its bachelor's fee in two equal parts, one at the start of each semester.

NUS counts a study year as 35 weeks.

Trimesters

Some NTU master's programmes use trimesters (a trimester is a part of the school year). NTU MSc Biomedical Engineering takes at least 3 trimesters full-time.

Special Academic Periods & Considerations

Beyond the standard academic calendar, there are several special periods and features to be aware of

Special Term

Special Term is a term apart from the two semesters. At NUS, students who take courses in it pay a fee per course.

Tip

For the 2026 intake, NTU classes started on 10 August. A missed class is not taught again, so arrive before classes start.
