Scholarships in Singapore
The main scholarships for international bachelor's students come from the universities. Most work on top of the Tuition Grant, money from the Singapore government (the Ministry of Education, MOE) that lowers your fee.

How Scholarships Work in Singapore
At NUS, all eligible students who apply for admission are considered for its scholarships automatically. NUS tells chosen students separately.
At NUS and NTU, scholarships pay the part of your fee that the Tuition Grant does not pay. So you take the grant and its bond.
The Work Bond
Why Apply for Scholarships?
- Pays the part of your fee that the grant does not pay (NUS and NTU awards)
- Money to live on each year (NTU: SGD 6,500, where SGD means Singapore dollars)
- Money for housing (NTU: up to SGD 2,000 a year)
- One-off computer allowance (NTU: SGD 2,000)
