- You must ask for your TIE within 1 month of arriving.
- Your papers are needed for the town hall and the TIE.

- Before you fly: Check your visa dates and pack your papers.
- First month in Spain: Ask for your TIE and register your address.

Comprehensive Checklist
Immigration Papers
Valid for your whole stay.
Your long-stay student visa (visado de estudios).
Public or private health insurance from an insurance company allowed to work in Spain, with the same cover as the public health system.
Study Papers
It shows the start date, end date and the cost for the whole course.
Proof you paid the enrolment or tuition fees.
Initial Financial Planning
- Proof of money for your visa: at least EUR 600 a month in 2026.
- India: if someone else pays for you (a sponsor), bring their signed letter, a copy of their PAN card (India's tax ID card) and 6 months of stamped bank statements.
