Your First Steps at University
Registration and your residence permit happen in the same first weeks.
- Visit the International Office: The International Office is the university team for foreign students. It gives you your original blue slip (entry permit) and helps with your residence permit.
- Pay your fees: Pay the semester fee and tuition as your university asks.
- Register for courses: At Frederick University, non-EU students pay the registration fees and part of the semester tuition, then register for courses.
- Get your student card: At UCY, the card costs €12.
Residence permit within 7 days
Your residence permit papers are due within 7 days of arriving. Do them alongside your university registration.
Course Registration
A full year is 60 ECTS (European study credits). That is usually 30 ECTS in each semester.
Stay Full-Time
Permits are issued only to full-time students. Ask before you drop courses.
